Doris at 91 First nursing home visit

The ladies of Hope Church gave a surprise birthday party

for Doris who will be 91. I sat away from the food and behaved very well.

I think I will like making more visits in 2008.

Uncle Tom's Treat

Christmas morning I got to try the organic treat my Uncle Tom sent from Washington state.

I like them. Joan gave this one to me while I was sitting on the couch then changed her mind and put it and ME outside. I don't mind. As Boomer would say," A treat's a treat!"

Happy First Bithday to Jake and I

Jake and I are now One Year old!

I'm 13.5 pounds and 11 inches at the shoulder.

Joan says I'm a Joy to have in the family!!!

The red coat is here

Here I am outside in my new red coat.

My brother, Jake, has one just like it.

Joan says I have to wear it if it's raining or below 30 degrees. We ordered it from Jake's groomer in TN. They shipped it right away.

Misty and the Snowman

This is my friend, Misty.

She came over for a play date in the snow.

She is taller than I am but in this picture she is below me.

It was close to 30 degrees and sunny.

Joan bought a "snowman " for me that won't melt!

Misty and I chased and chased around in the snow.

Sunny winter days can be fun with a friend.

Classmate Abby

This is another classmate, Abby.

She is a puggle who does a great "watch me" for Joan.

because she wears a special pouch for treats.

Joan said I behaved very well.

I really like people.

" If you've seen one you've seen them all"!

That's really true of Jake and I.

He's a little bit larger than I am but we do look the same.

That's why you don't need a picture of him.

You can just look at me and pretend you can see double!!

Intermediate Graduation Day

While I was waiting at our pet blessing,

Joan took a picture that shows my shadow.

I am getting a haircut this week.

Maybe my shadow will change.

Our neighbor just gave Joan a copy of the news article about the pet blessing in today's paper. I'm in the picture doing a nose to nose greet just like I learned in puppy class!

Pet Blessing

We had a Pet Blessing service at our church Sunday.

Our neighbors came to watch.

John held my leash so Joan could take the picture.

I'm the only dog that sang

(barked that is) when the people sang!

10 Months old Today

Jake and I are 10 months old today!

We have 2 sisters, too.

I thought I was going to daycamp

today but it rained so I think I'll go tomorrow.

Later Joan said I'll get peanut butter in my kong because I'm a good boy!

Ask not mat

This was my early 10Month Birthday gift.

Jake, this is the mat with a message that Joan ordered for my "door"!

It fits our family because Joan says,"it's all about the puppy"!

Graue Mill

We met Arlene at Graue Mill in Hinsdale,IL.

Joan took her classes here on fieldtrips

when she taught second grade.

We had a good walk while Arlene took pictures.

Rehabilitated

Harriet, Joan, and I went for a walk in the park.

We met lots of people and a few other dogs.

When I met Katie, the retriever, I took her rubber retriever toy right out of her mouth. She let me do it so...

when she took it back I got mad.

I growled, snapped, and bit at Maggie's nose.

Joan was shocked!

(I did this right in front of a Joliet Judge

who happened to be walking behind us.)

Joan gave the other dog a treat and made me greet Katie

without the toy in her mouth or mine.

Later on our walk as we passed the judge, Joan saw that I was walking politely.

Instead of saying hello, she just announced,"He's Rehabilitated!"

Starbucks

Joni couldn't go into the Starbucks while Joan was shopping.
Joni asked if she could order at the door because I wasn't allowed in.
They said no to her offer to order and give them her card. They did ask what I liked to drink. She said ice since it was in the high 80's (in October!!!).
When Joan came to find us sitting outside Starbucks at a table, she found Joni with a FREE coffee and me with a Free cup of ice!

Happy Fall

I'm having a "ball" this fall.

I started my second class.

I'm learning "heel" now.

I have to work with distractions.

It's easy in my yard but harder

in the parks.

Pawgress Report

This is my first Pawgress Report.

I stayed overnight at the Petsmart Hotel

and had Daycamp!

I took my bear and my Bear's towel.

You can see I did very well.

Big Boy Cut

Birthday Squirrel

Joni said I could have one squirrel for my Birthday.

I played and played.

Then I took a "squirrel" nap!

Misty on my Birthday

Misty came for a play date on my birthday.
She doesn't have a fenced in yard
but she has a loving Mom.
She has just graduated from puppy class.
We are showing our moms what we have learned:
Sit...stay...watch me.
Then we had a treat!

Abby's First visit

Here is our first "kiss".

She is 4 months old.

I will be 9 months on Sunday.

She doesn't have a fenced yard so we really had a great run in mine.

We were so fast,

you have to look closely to see I'm letting her win!

Water Boy

I have just had the best

time with Joan's new lawn sprinkler.

I don't mind catching

water drops

or getting wet.

One day she combed me three times because I kept coming back for more water drops!

White dog's Tale

Sometimes it's hard to tell that I am an all white dog.

I played in and around Joan's flowers and ivy.

She took me in for an oatmeal bath and brush.

I smelled pretty bad after I caught and

yes dispatched a young squirrel.

It kept coming down when I was around.

I couldn't help myself.

Our friend, Richard, came over and bagged for Joan.

She had bags, gloves, and no power to do it herself.

Now everyone should know this is my yard!!!

Dog on Deck

Some silly rabbit is living here

but I'm always watching.

I saw a rabbit just a little while ago.

It was hiding under this part of the deck.

If... Joan hadn't had my leash on me,

I would have gotten it for sure!

8 months old now

I was weighed today.
I'm 12.9 lbs.
I only eat 1 cup a day even if I'm offered more.
My treats are small so I can't be over snacking.
I do get a lot of walking in and squirrel chasing.
Joan says I CAN'T ever catch them.

I guess I'll always be the little guy!

My Tide

This is mine now.

Here is one of my favorite toys.

Joan lets me play with it when it's empty.

We play "Tide" like soccer.

Sometimes I just play by myself.
It's fun that way,too.

Joan and Joni are back

Joan and Joni have returned!

Boomer took care of us.

Fiona still wishes I lived somewhere else.

This is as close as we get.

It was her house first but I think she should share more.

Blog Vacation

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for a ways to say

my blog is going on vacation until August.

Joni took the camera to Italy.

Joan is going to travel without me.

Boomer will be home in charge of Fiona and me

but he doesn't blog.

I hope Jake keeps sending info because Joan will

read it to me when she gets home.

My "Manly" Crate Part 2

I can enter from the front or be lifted in through the top.

It's like staying in a tent because of the zippers and flaps to cover the windows. There is plenty of room in here for myself and some toys.

Maybe we will have a road trip soon!

My "Manly" Crate Part 1

After my sucessful "Snip and Chip", Joan decided I needed a more "manly" crate.

It's lighter weight so she can lift it. It folds up,too.

When we travel, it will be my home away from home.
